Rights advocacy
We prepare and submit official appeals to the Ministry of Health and relevant agencies on behalf of patients.
Cancer patient community organization · Georgia
We advocate for the right of every cancer patient in Georgia to receive treatment on time and without financial ruin — and we share what patients who have walked this path already know.
Patient rights advocacy, access to oncology medicines, mediation with the health system, and a community of more than 10,400 patients.
About us
Oncoline Georgia was founded in 2020, shortly after its director Sophiko Phiranishvili was diagnosed with stage three malignant bone sarcoma. She began looking for others walking the same path — first creating the “Onco Club” community in 2019, and then the organization itself. Today the community brings together more than 10,400 people across Georgia.
What we do
We prepare and submit official appeals to the Ministry of Health and relevant agencies on behalf of patients.
We mediate between patients and the health system on access to oncology services and medicines.
Direct, practical support for patients who need medication today.
We work to make reliable oncology information accessible in the Georgian language.
We advocate for modern oncology medicines — including Keytruda and Enhertu — to be included in Georgia's state programme and provided to patients free of charge. We also call for a permanent working group on cancer patient issues and systemic gaps in care.
Impact
17 July
Held at the Sheraton Grand Tbilisi Metechi Palace, bringing together everyone for whom the voice and rights of cancer patients matter.
2026
Ten cancer patients will receive fully state-funded vocational education and the chance to start a new profession.
2026
The grant funds the first food bank in Kakheti, in the village of Vazisubani, and equips our churchkhela and dried fruit production facility to modern standards.
Partnership
We welcome partnerships with international organizations, donors and institutions working in oncology, patient advocacy and public health. We also run Kakheti Events, a green social enterprise staffed by cancer patients, people with disabilities and rural residents. It produces churchkhela, dried fruit and other traditional Kakhetian foods, and its income goes directly to covering medicines and essential costs for patients. It received a World Vision Georgia small grant in 2025 and a German Embassy grant in 2026.
